TUCSON, AZ (RNN) - In a series of disjointed thoughts, videos on a YouTube account registered to a Jared Lee Loughner of Tucson, AZ, take aim at the national government and refer to a "new currency."

A 22-year-old man of the same name was taken into custody Saturday afternoon by Arizona authorities following the shooting of Congresswoman Gabby Giffords and 18 other individuals at a Tucson grocery store.

A bystander was able to apprehend Loughner on the scene of the shooting, preventing him from killing more people, authorities said.

"We're not convinced he acted alone," said Pima County Sheriff Spokesman Clarence Dupkin. "[We have reason to believe] he came to the event with another individual."

In one video registered under the username ClassItUp10, the user said he's aware that government officials and "the people" are listening.

"Nearly all the people who don't know this accurate information of a new currency aren't aware of mind control and brainwash methods," he wrote. "If I have my civil rights, then this message wouldn't have happen."

Another video said, "Every human who's mentally capable is always able to be treasurer of their new currency," and defined terrorism as "a person who employs terror or terrorism, especially as a political weapon."

The video further claimed, "The majority of citizens in the United States of America have never read the United States of America's Constitution. You don't have to accept the federalist laws. Nonetheless, read the United States of America's Constitution to apprehend all of the current treasonous laws."

In total, there are five videos uploaded to the account, which was registered in October 2010.

In his profile, the user lists his interests as reading and grammar and said "conscience dreams were a great study in college"

Favorite books include Karl Marx's "The Communist Manifesto," Adolf Hitler's "Mein Kampf," and Ken Kesey's "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," as well as lighter fare like "Peter Pan" and "Gulliver's Travels."

The profile states Loughner attended Mountain View High School, Northwest Aztec Middle College and Pima Community College.

The last post on a Myspace page, which is listed under the same name and is now restricted from public view, read "goodbye friends, don't be mad at me."
